Ar. Marco Corbella (www.ishimoto.co.jp)
Architect, BArch at Turin Polytechnic, MArch at Tokyo University of the Arts, currently Design Manager at Ishimoto Architectural & Engineering Firm Inc. in Tokyo for which he designed several mixed use complex facilities in Japan, Italy and other countries. Visiting lecturer at the Polytechnic of Turin and at the Tokyo University of the Arts. Author and curator of the exhibition "Progettare ai Margini" (Design at the Limits") about the role of urban voids in Italian cities, in collaboration with Lorena Alessio during the events "Primavera Italiana 2007" in Tokyo by the Italian Embassy. Speaker at the Kagoshima symposium on urban regeneration with prof. Hidenobu Jinnai, and at the symposium "Sustainable Architecture" in Tokyo with Kengo Kuma, Terunobu Fujimori, Giuseppe Chigiotti and Francisco Prati. Member of JIA (Japan Institute of Architects) International Committee and of the JOB (Japan Organizing Board) PR Task Unit for the UIA 2011 Tokyo Congress. Presently also serving as Hon. Secretary in ARCASIA (Architects Regional Council Asia) he is active in the organization of academic and professional collaboration activities in the field of architecture and urban design.
Prof. Yasushi Ikeda (www.ik-ds.com)
Graduated from the Department of Architecture of the University of Tokyo’s Faculty of Engineering in 1985.
He went on to complete the master’s program in the Graduate School of Engineering and earn his Ph.D. in engineering. He joined Maki and Associates in 1987 and worked there until 1995, when he left to establish the Yasushi Ikeda Design Studio (renamed Ikeda Kokubun Design Studio, or IKDS, in 2003). After teaching for several years at the Keio University Faculty of Policy Management as associate professor(non-tenured)and in other positions, he was appointed associate professor at the Faculty of Environmental Information in 1999, and became professor in 2008.
Professor Ikeda’s specialty is architecture and urban design. His major projects include the Multimedia Conference Room, Keio University SFC (1999); Design Studio Buildings, Keio University SFC (2000); Institute for Advanced Biosciences, Keio University (2001); New Main Building, Keio Futsubu School (2001); Daizawa Plus Co-op (2005); plan for an apartment complex in Binjiang, Quanzhou (2005); Sakata City Community Service Seminar Center Multipurpose Hall (2006); and plan for an airport rapid transit system station, Taipei Main Station redevelopment project (2006). His publications include Vijuaru ban kenchiku nyumon 5: Kenchiku no gengo (Visual introduction to architecture 5:
The language of architecture) (Tokyo: Shokokusha, 2002), to which he contributed a chapter.

Mr. Haruo Fukada (www.proplan.co.jp)
Mr. Fukada is the President of Proplan Co. Ltd., a company very well known in Japan for the organization and management of media events (symposia, conventions, exhibitions etc...) and PR campaigns.
Among the several successful events organized, Proplan can list up also Archifuture: an annual event on the state of the art and technology related to BIM, algorithmic design and digital fabrication and with speakers such as Toyo Ito.

BA in Architecture in Structural Engineering Dept. of Architecture University of California at Berkeley, and MSc (Eng) at Dept. of Civil & Environmental Engineering University of California at Berkeley, prof. Kanada worked from 1996 to 2005 Ove Arup & Partners Japan Ltd. and from 2005 to today at Ove Arup & Partners in London. From 2007 he is also teaching Structural Design as Associate Professor at the Tokyo University of the Arts.

Prof. Shiro Matsushima
Prof. Matsushima has a PhD in Design from Harvard GSD and he is presently Professor at the Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering of Toyohashi University of Technology, teaching Planning and Design / Design Technology / Project Mangement.
Prof. Matsushima studies, among other subjects, how modeling studies and prototypes not only affect the design and manufacturing processes, but unleash creative power, enabling the designers to develop complex and dramatic shapes, pushing the limits of architecture as we know it.

Ar. Tomohiko Yamanashi
Tomohiko Yamanashi has a Master of Urban Design degree from the University of Tokyo, which he acquired in 1986.
Presently Chief Architect of Design Section and Principal of Architectural Design Department at Nikken Sekkei.
The winner of numerous awards, his latest being MIPIM Asia's Special Jury Award in 2009 for Mokuzai Kaikan, Mr Yamanashi's domestic portfolio is supplemented by significant international experience in China and Singapore.
He is a member of the Japan Institute of Architects and the Architectural Institute of Japan, and also teaches architectural design to graduates and undergraduates at the university level.
